We worked closely with Cross’s architect, David Adcock Consulting to develop a striking new design concept comprising a raft ceiling, exposed services, a ceramic floor, furniture, display cases and equipment. A new mechanical, electrical sprinkler system and data installation required careful layout planning and project co-ordination as the elements involved remain visible in the finished store.
Because of the store’s historic location our work required sympathetic design detailing. The project was delivered in a live shopping centre with restrictions on access because of the mall’s busyness.
This first Cross Pens project work for us had a challenging, very short lead in and time on site of 3 weeks. Our ability to build and install all of the furniture, display cases and wall display units in our 15,000 sqft joinery workshop helped a lot.
